Greetings,
I am Pastor Rob Cosmas. It is
my honor and privilege to serve Ascension Lutheran Church, Indian Harbour
Beach. Called in November of 2022, it was my great joy to move to the Space
Coast from Orlando. In 25 years of ministry,
I’ve looked to Jesus’ words to the disciples in John 10:10,
“I came that they may have
life, and have it abundantly.”
Rooted in Holy Scripture, I
am focused on facilitating your discovery of the “abundant life” that Jesus offers. As a community, it is my hope that you begin to unlock this
mystery from the very moment you enter our parking lot. I
pray you discover the faithful, loving ‘body of Christ’ that is
Ascension. In Word and Sacrament,
we will equip you for the abundant life of your deepest desire and send you
into the world to live out your faith.
God has blessed me with a
wealth of experiences to bring to bear over a lifetime of adventures. Married
32 years to Janelle, we’ve raised three children and are awestruck by the
wonder of grandparenting. I’ve learned
that faith is not something extra ‘when we have time’ rather, as St. Paul insists,
it is ‘by faith that we truly live.’ So,
if you are wintering here, retired, part of the revitalized space industry, U.S.
military community, or a life resident of IHB, I’m certain you will find a
church home at Ascension.

‘abundant life’ that is full of faith in a community seeking to love God and
neighbor in all we do. Bible-centered, cross-focused, and mission-driven, we live
an abundant life of faith. Please
